It knew it wouldn’t go down without a fight
But this is different, it crossed the line

It crossed the line first
It hammered it
In it’s desperation
It turned to a man it didn’t truly understand

Some men aren’t looking for anything logical
They can’t be bothered, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with
Some men, just wanna watch things burn =>

You know what’s funny? =>
The act of laughter
which is
a sweet attraction
that keeps ourselves amazed
and
a pleasant agitation of our vocal organs
It’s not merely
what is told
within the jurisdiction
among ourselves

The essence of laughter, is insanity.

The trembling bowstring of a drawn bow

Pounding in the moonlight, my heart

The beauty of a sharpened sword edge

It looks much like that sword point

Lurking in the sadness and anger, knowing the sincere heart

Are the spirits of the forest,

only the spirits,

only the spirits…

Requiem

I have to learn to master this
I can’t let anyone know this
Pretend that I don’t care about what’s happening
I don’t want to know
I blame myself for the lack of courage

My head hurts till I couldn’t breathe
I can’t find the traces
Eyes wide open, watching it happening, I have no strength
It will disappear in my world

I can’t reason out
I may not be the same again
Anyone tell me, what curse this is?
Then, does this has a limit?
An end, maybe?

Bersatu Games 2007

July 13th, 2007 by lamkm-87

So, the Games finished =>

What relief.

However, there is still more to learn from it. Trying to toe the stringent budget has definitely taken the toll on the organization. Opting for university facilities instead of centralized sport centres such as Pioneer Stadium and Jade Stadium left the organizers no choice but to compress the schedule water-tight. And of course, the supporters had lesser space to roam around as compared to the Edgar Centre in the previous edition of Bersatu. Well, at least we did survive with the resources available with a couple of glitches along the way.

The biggest sacrifice by using the university is the time for participants and supporters alike to mingle around. Spare time was too little for people to interact. Beyond that, the competition was too intense for friendship to blossom mannerly. Hmm… maybe not too Bersatu (United) after all.

For my role, I did my utmost possible to make the travelling contingents comfortable. Lost supporters, food delivery, schedule changes, airport pick-ups, injuries - do pardon me if I didn’t serve within your expected capacity. But it’s a joy to have you around. Not forgetting the whole Liaison Team too, you guys were really helpful to make it happen. Of course, how can I forget the people who helped me for the Opening Ceremony. The people who helped me in making the torches, you guys are awesome. Geez, I’m still saddling the feeling of guilt because some travelling participants and supporters helped out too! =>

My apologies for the delays and awful rehearsals. It worked out perfectly that night - all credit to you people.

The videos for both Opening and Closing were okay.

Well, it’s just my feeling again. Somehow, I couldn’t arrange a perfect puzzle to connect people during the Games. The video’s effect was just momentary. Well, no more babbling anyway. I did enjoy myself. A great lesson =>

Call you up in the middle of the night

Like a firefly without a light

You were there like a slow torch burning

I was a key that could use a little turning

So tired that I couldn’t even sleep

So many secrets I couldn’t keep

Promised myself I wouldn’t weep

One more promise I couldn’t keep

It seems no one can help me now

I’m in too deep

There’s no way out

This time I have really led myself astray

Runaway train never going back

Wrong way on a one way track

Seems like I should be getting somewhere

Somehow I’m neither here no there

Can you help me remember how to smile

Make it somehow all seem worthwhile

How on earth did I get so jaded

Life’s mystery seems so faded

I can go where no one else can go

I know what no one else knows

Here I am just drownin’ in the rain

With a ticket for a runaway train

Everything is cut and dry

Day and night, earth and sky

Somehow I just don’t believe it

Runaway train never going back

Wrong way on a one way track

Seems like I should be getting somewhere

Somehow I’m neither here no there

Bought a ticket for a runaway train

Like a madman laughin’ at the rain

Little out of touch, little insane

Just easier than dealing with the pain

Runaway train never comin’ back

Runaway train tearin’ up the track

Runaway train burnin’ in my veins

Runaway but it always seems the same

Someone. Shoot me.

So I am sitting here
With deep insight
Understanding the perceptions

Do they exist at the first place?

If everything is a cycle
Where is the beginning?
Where is the end?

Everything is the same. Just a self-creation.

Applying common sense 3

November 23rd, 2006 by lamkm-87

At home alas. I thought of putting my common sense to rest but human character just cannot halt from amazing me. Here I go again. Let us apply common sense, again.

Bear in mind that all below are merely personal attacks parallel with the author’s personal thoughts inspired by immense boredom; they are never against any communal entity.

Comical Fact Number One
Astronauts. Yes. Finally we will have the first Malaysian who will explore beyond the atmosphere. What will he do? "Tarik" some teh, toss some "Batu Seremban".

Applying common sense.

Gosh. Leave those duties to Pak Cik Kassim in Restaurant Moden and Siti the toddler next door. Although "Teh Tarik" and "Batu Seremban" are synonymous to Malaysians, my guts tell me that the whole academic community will see this 100 million ringgit taxpayers’ money investment makes no sense.

Americans are known as astronauts
Russians are known as cosmonauts
Chinese (Note that I’m a Malaysian, not a Chinese) are known as taikonauts
Malaysians will be known as… TARIK-nauts?

No common sense.

Comical Fact Number Two

Sad news Klangnites. One of our favourite satay stalls was torn down. A curry stall is next. Applying common sense.

Linked from The Star —> Curry Story

Shop has operated for three years but the transfer of land only completed last month. In simple words, the shop has not been operating with insurance or license for three years.

In conclusion.

No common sense. It keeps me thinking, what are permits and licenses for. Maybe I should setup a char kuew teow stall in the Chi Liung roundabout tomorrow. With such high passerby frequency, I’m sure my kuew teow will sell hotter than cakes. Extra "See-Ham"(Mussles) anyone?

Comical Fact Number Three
The story of the kris (this is the correct English spelling).

A pride left by Hang Tuah and a weapon of choice for Red Hood (A DC universe villain).

A Malaysian ranked-citizen claimed (as released in the press) that the kris symbolizes the strength and determination of the people in a specific circle of community. Fair enough, I do not bother. Everyone needs their source of inspiration.

He went a step further by stating that other people beyond that specific circle should not view the kris as a symbol of violence. He exemplified the kris with the lion dance. He claimed that he appreciates the lion dance as a tool of art, not a fiery symbol synonym to the lion’s character.

Applying common sense.

"Kris wielding". A known term in Malaysia. Fair enough, I personally appreciate the kris as UMNO’s symbol of unity. Have a look at these statements by the one their people.

Quoted from blog.limkitsiang.com

Perlis delegate Hashim Suboh, who directed his question at Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein: “Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris, waved his keris, kissed his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham when is he going to use it.”

Applying common sense.

Datuk Hashim queried his superior when the kris will be used. Staying optimistic, these are the few functions the kris might be used for:

  1. Tapping rubber
  2. Slaughtering some cattles for the upcoming Hari Raya Korban
  3. Performing Hikayat Hang Tuah in the Actor’s Studio

Sad to say, the kris is to be tainted by Chinese blood (As announced in the closing speech of the UMNO’s Youth Assembly). It’s sad to see why we Malaysians want to wage war with the Chinese up North.

But then, if the kris is directed to the Malaysian Chinese by the Malaysian Malays, this is just blatant provocation = sedition. Of course, the lion dance cannot be referred as a WMD because neither MCA nor GERAKAN mentioned that they will unleash the lions to tear their critics apart.

One point for blatant provoking.
Two points for unjustified comparison.
Three points for wasting my common sense that should put for better use.

Conclusion

A hat-trick of "NO COMMON SENSE". A feat any Premiership striker will dread for.

Applying common sense 2

November 7th, 2006 by lamkm-87

Chief just cannot stop from impressing me.

Chief claims that after what happened, he believes that he has garnered more support.

I refuse to waste my common sense further. Everything about him just doesn’t make sense.
What shame. Pathetic. Spare him some sticks of sate if you are having them for supper because Chief must be real hungry since his Satay stall is closed down.

Entahlah… Wawasan 2020… here we come.

What nation. What pride. Simple not my nation. Simply no pride.

Two words say it all.

NO CLASS.
